+Will a TelAI receptionist give my callers professional advice?
No — and it can't be talked into it, in any language. The agent answers business facts (hours, services, location) and takes a structured message. Anything that approaches legal, medical, or financial advice gets a polite “someone on the team will go over that on your callback.”
+How does the free first month work?
Setup is a one-time $49. Your first month — with 300 included minutes — is free. If you keep it, it continues at $249/month. You can cancel during the free month.
+What happens when a caller speaks Spanish?
The agent switches mid-sentence and finishes the entire intake in Spanish. Your emailed summary arrives in English with the caller's preferred callback language flagged.
+Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Most businesses forward their existing line after hours, on overflow, or full-time. We can also provision a dedicated local number if you want TelAI answering everything. No onsite installation, anywhere in the U.S.
+Is it legal to record the calls?
Every TelAI greeting discloses that the call may be recorded and transcribed before any substance is exchanged, which keeps you on the right side of consent rules in every state. It's built in, and you control how long transcripts are kept.
+What if I use up my included minutes?
Callers past the monthly allowance hear a courteous message and we get an alert — nothing is silently billed. If it keeps happening, we move you to a higher-minute plan together.
